| Background I'm the product of an American father and a Canadian mother who met and married in Mexico City, Mexico. Although born in Mexico, I grew up in Asia (the Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan) as a result of my father's subsequent work as an international investment banker. The majority of my formative years (12 years) were spent in Tokyo. I attended international schools there, sharing the classroom with children from as many as 60 different nations. At age 18 I came to America for college, and the rest of my family moved to the States by the time I graduated. I've lived in this country ever since. If I can think of a singular benefit to growing up overseas, it would be the ability to relate to a wide variety of people, taking into account differences in worldview and communication styles. In addition, being the eldest of six children has probably helped me develop leadership and patience. |

| Beliefs & Integrity I try to live my life with the utmost integrity, and you can rest assured that I will bring that same passion and integrity to the work I do for you. I have a tremendous interest in, and respect for, all faith systems and cultures. A staunch existential atheist until age 25, I became a Christian upon being convinced that the evidence was solid and compelling for Jesus being who He claimed to be. That said, I'm not a fan of phrases that sound like they belong on a Christian bumper sticker. I have a strong interest in apologetics, the philosophy of religion and ethics. I currently attend "The Church on The Way" in Van Nuys, CA, founded by Pastor Jack W. Hayford, which is an interdenominational congregation affiliated with the Foursquare denomination. |
| Professional Goals My desire is excellence. Let me leverage my experience and expertise in the area of marketing, communications, and public relations for your benefit. I believe that planning is essential. Yet if you look at the major corporations who have marketing and PR absolutely dialed in, they're almost always taking advantage of guerilla tactics. And the beauty is that the top 100 things that every organization or project should be doing to market and promote themselves are FREE. The problem is that many companies do not do these things.
