| I wrote and designed this advertisment for Toyota's International Business Development Department/ Export Office. It appeared in the Wall Street Journal and U.S. News & World Report in November 1991. As the initial thrust of a major export promotion to increase our export candidates, it turned out to be the most successful business development promotion run by the office ever, resulting in several thousand replies through letters, faxes, and telephone calls to the 800 number I had established.. I called the entire campaign "Toyota Export 500," representing the 500 new U.S. manufactured products that we were able to introduce to the Japanese market as a result.
